Passing the Bar

Al Saunders is asked to move away from the woman he loves due to circumstances he cannot control. Al and Flora are still in love with each other but Flora is forced to make a decision that is best for her children. Moving into a house with an insane landlady and an angry obese old man pushes Al to spend his spare time at the neighborhood bar. Bernie’s Bar and Grill is where Al becomes friends with the regular patrons and becomes a regular himself. He is able to drink away his loneliness and depression until a phone call forces him to deal with his empty life. The love of someone he barely knows helps Al to face his inner demons.
