Asylum

I started to write this book in 2005. In those days, the hurtful situation in the USA made me wonder how people felt about us. Their comments and concern for us is still very confusing.

We are people who have nothing to do with politics and all the dirty business of the politicians of the whole world. We left our homes and everything we cared about to be safe somewhere else. Some of us were lucky and made it to the land of freedom. Others walked for days and nights over the borders to go anywhere they could be safe. We tried to make new homes where no one would hate us or hurt us. We tried to run away from all the dark years after the revolution and everything new Islam brought to us.
