Promethia's Fire

The 20th century opened with war in Kosova. The century closed with war on the same territory. Serbs vs. Albanians: but now, NATO, the E.U. and the United Nations have joined the web of conflict and corruption. Promethia Risk, an undercover gender rights activist group seeks to bring gender equality to countries in transition, believing that equal value for both sexes will help create peace and order. With their vast resources and experienced field operatives they target Kosova. Luk Begovic, a visiting Balkan historian from Canada, uncovers a vast conspiracy of sex slave traffickers, reaching all levels of government in league with underworld criminals. Mili Bektashi, a doctor treating abused women, is targeted by the crime syndicates. Their lives intersect: and a new and different war begins. The hope of a new future for them and their country unfolds.
