Memoirs of the Little Girl Within: Poems of True Love

There she was, this ten year old little girl sitting on a chair at the church lobby when suddenly she saw him. He was a very handsome boy who would soon become her one true love. Between her childhood days and adolescent years they took some time out to know each other and became very close friends. It was by his side that she discovered how to deal with life situations, understand boys and protect herself from them. Although they never had the opportunity to be in a formal relationship together, for the past fifteen years, they have always been connected to one another. Each poem expresses feelings of love, happiness, confusion, fear, hurt, anger, or frustration, and passion that a person could feel when having the one you love too close, but not close enough.
