The Fog Will Withdraw: The Season of Hope

This book cuts across the globe. The author uses his knowledge, gained from having lived in different countries, to depict in various poems what could be termed “international culture”. Mr. Tuam reminisces about when he was growing up singing and dancing in the village and about his experiences in the foreign land. He wonders about the political and social dilemmas of today and dreams about what the future holds for this world where there are few true neighbors and rare patriotic leaders. He further believes there seems to be abundance of hatred, affinity for wars and scarcity of love and peace. Mr. Tuam is a talented writer whose writings make the reader feel personally present at each of the scenes described. I strongly recommend this work to all readers, the old and the young, the advanced literate and the semi-literate individuals. There is wisdom and entertainment both nicely packed in the pages of this book.
