Getting it off my Chest: A Journey through Breast Cancer

On December 26, 2007, Sandra Fikus discovered a lump in her breast.
This lump started Sandra on a challenging journey. Following her diagnosis
of stage 2 breast cancer, Sandra spent an entire year undergoing medical
treatments: surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation. But Sandra's journey wasn't
just medical in nature. When she began to understand how the circumstances
of her life had brought her to a diagnosis of cancer, her true healing began-
she made the life changes she needed to, and embraced a spiritual path that
culminated in the study of the ancient wisdom of Ayurveda, meditation,
and yoga.
