OFF THE PORCH: CONCORD STREET

Young Tony, born in the mid-fi fties, was a victim of child abuse from the womb. His greatest love was his family. Coming to age during the turbulent era of the 60's made him question the double standards of living between Black and White people. Other kids his age didn't think like him, he loved reading. Peer pressure was boring. With the streets ablaze during
the 67 riot, and family violence's tormenting him, Tony made a conscious decision to fi nd his mother to escape his father, who unknowing to him wasn't his father, and heal his wounded heart.
