"Growing up in a rather dysfunctional home, Jim Wesley found an escape and comfort from the radio. He did more than listen; he dreamed.
Dreaming that someday he would be an announcer on the radio, he dedicated much of his time learning more about the medium. His childhood dream became a reality when doors started opening for him to pursue his passion. In the engaging pages of this memoir, he fondly relives the challenges, tears, joys, and triumphs that he experienced as he embarked on a venture he only dreamed of as a boy. Jim Wesley has spent his life in radio broadcasting, beginning as a disc jockey while in college in Atlanta. Following graduation Wesley continued working as an announcer and then managed radio stations in Miami and Los Angeles. He spent the last fi fteen years of his career as founder, co-owner, and president of several new radio companies.
After retiring from business in 1998, Wesley turned his attention to travel and volunteer work. In recent years he has enjoyed writing,
drawing on his wealth of experience in meeting, interviewing, and working with famous personalities in entertainment, business, and politics.
Wesley holds bachelorsâ and graduate degrees in management from
Georgia Tech, and the University of Miami. He is married to Mary
Phillips, has two sons, and four grandsons."
