Un Canto a la Mujer: A SONG TO WOMEN

Un canto a la Mujer is about women. It is about the importance they play in the world and in our lives, and about their innate capacity to bring balance to every aspect of life.
The book flows from my aspiration to open our eyes to see the world through a different light and bring much needed change. It is unfortunate and sad to find that in many of our homes, our classrooms, our offices, our churches and our governments, women are a treasure yet to be discovered. I want to change that.
This book is about their beauty, their wisdom and their strength. It gives a truthful portrayal of who they are and fights back the often misleading depiction of women found in mass media. It will make us re-learn the admiration and reverence that once we had for them, and it will make us realize and seek the feminine energy much needed to balance life.
In a few words, it is a celebration of women. It is a song of appreciation to the most beautiful and complete being I have ever known: la mujer.

Our future is determined by how we treat women.
Let's start right now, let's start right here, and fight for equality in global economy and government participation, in the portrayal of an accurate culture of beauty, in lesbian rights, in a safe and equal environment in the workplace and in our households; let's do it! To improve the state of women is to improve the state of the world.
