The Life and Perambulations of a Mouse

To relieve the boredom of a very dreary winter, a young girl suggests that each member of the community tell a story from his own life. The one condition is that the story "must be strange indeed." Unable to think of anything unusual from her own life, the narrator is inspired by a small mouse and relates its life story with charm and wit.
