Dr. Donn C. Bogert served in the USMC airwing, starred in off-broadway musicals in NY, was a college professor, then was called into a music and preaching ministry. He retired after the death of his wife, Joy. In 1997, he married one of his parishioners, Audene Dean.They moved to Galax, VA, in 2002.
