Australian by birth and heritage, he has travelled extensively in his own country and abroad, and now lives in a sub-tropical coastal village in South East Queensland.
By occupation he has been a seaman, woodworking tradesman, co-founder of a successful public company, licensed builder, and farmer.
His family is spread across many part of Australia. He has three surviving children, whom he loves dearly. His oldest son Peter died in 2002, aged 50.
He worships at his local church, whose congregation comprises mainly of young families, and yet, many families are represented by three generations, worshipping together.
