Linda Hartly was happy with her new life: She had recently relocated to Hollywood, California and found immediate employment as a food server at Scoma's restaurant: She had a caring, female co-worker as a roommate, sharing the rent of the bottom half of a Hollywood Hills home; She had developed a new romance in her life . . . . . . . . . . . . but then suddenly . . . . . . all of that ended. She began to experience spells of blacking out, with no idea as to what she did during those spells.

Across town, lead-Detective Robert Byers was becoming more desperate in solving the case of a possible serial killer, while at the same time, psychoanalyst, Dr. David Grossman, was becoming more alarmed, as he realized that, against all odds, he was possibly treating two cases of multiple- personality disorders at the same time.
