Poema

Tahiti is considered Paradise by many, but for Poema Farepa life in Polynesia has been one of struggle and neglect, despair and determination. Plotting to stop the building of a highway near her property, Poema details her life each night to her two young nieces. They sit in an unfinished house and stargaze as Poema recites her tales to the children. The reader will be entranced by a story filled with ghosts and visions, black pearls and barroom brawls, life's tragedies and triumphs. Paradise will be forever changed when the reader meets the "uncrowned Queen of Tahiti."
