Some say survival, actually personal survival is the first law of life. It is natural to strive for survival under any circumstance and God have nothing against it. Jesus commended the acclaimed shrewd manager whose story He told in Luke 16:1-9. God expects that we use our earthly life to secure eternal bliss through living by unwavering faith in Him. The mention of Tamar, Judah's daughter-in-law, Rahab the Jericho harlot turned member of the commonwealth of God's chosen people, Israel and Ruth, a Moabitess among the matriarchs of mankind's Messiah, teaches that adopting personal survival strategies is acceptable as long as they are done with faith in God.
