In traditional societies, there existed - and still exist
- clear rules around the way specifi c relationships
should work; and these rules determined whether
any emotional attachment could develop or not.
In Western society today, with its emphasis on the
signifi cance of the individual's emotions, these
boundaries may blur. Taboo tells the story of one such
blurring. The true-life nature of this relationship is
