In the distant future , 7000 years from now , mankind made a backwards turn technologically . Then mankind split into two tribes , the Shah Ruh and the Obed Kuh . The Shah Ruh are mostly peaceful whereas the Obed Kuh are brutal . The Obed Kuh are distinguished from the Shah Ruh only by a red mark which they place on their foreheads . Kenjo and his wife Sakya have a lot on their plate in this primitive future time .
