Not Enough Angels: A Soldier's Story with an Angel on his Shoulder A Memoir

NOT ENOUGH ANGELS-it is a true story of a soldier in the Second World War. The meaning of the title is that many soldiers like myself were often in harm's way but, for some strange, unexplained reasons, suddenly found themselves on a different course. I call it fate since my change of directions made it possible for me to meet my brother on a Normandy beach and to meet a French girl after my landing, whom after fifty-five years I renewed my friendship. The change of direction happened so often that I was told many times that I must have had an Angel on my shoulder.
For the many soldiers not lucky to get through the war unscathed, as in my prologue, there were not enough Angels for everyone.
