Gifts of The Seasons

Five Element Acupuncture is a tradition of acupuncture based on the movement of nature. The five elements are Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, and Water. Each of these elements corresponds to a specific season: Spring, Summer, Late Summer, Fall, and Winter, respectively. How we move though the seasons of nature and our own lives impacts our body’s health. The following selection of poems are sorted categorically by the gifts or virtues of the seasons. The poems have been critical in healing the wounds of my past and empowering me to lead a more healthy lifestyle.
