Retaliation

With his head bent low, John entered the dark smoke-filled lounge,
with loud music, to talk to his best and only friend, Robert.
John wore a broad black hat with the brim pulled down; and a long
black coat with the collar pulled up to his neck. His eyes were covered
by dark glasses. John was a victim of one of the oldest games known
to mankind-his reputation had been damaged. Sweat flowed down his
forehead. He was about to have a wretchedly emotional break down. All
the street hoodlums, male and female in the dark smoke-filled lounge
were wary of him. Everyone scrutinized his every move as he walked
toward the flashing red light at the rear of the lounge.
