Trapped No More: The True Exodus of an Ex-Gay

I never choose to be gay. I never wanted to be gay. In fact, I made a conscious decision not to be gay at the age of eighteen when I embraced a newfound faith in God and embarked on a journey to nearly thirty countries, engaging in international development and Christian service. “Trapped No More” is my story how self-acceptance freed me from twenty-two years of self-hatred and institutionalized religion. In addition to inner struggles, I also contended with external pressures like culture shock, contaminated food and water, homesickness, third world living conditions, and assorted dangers like the Tiananmen massacre as I risked my life, extending a loving hand to those in need around me. Long believing that is was my God-given duty to deny my true nature, I finally woke up one day to love and accept myself as an ex-ex-gay man. Does the Bible condemn or condone homosexuality? Is it homoerotic or homophobic? What did Jesus say about homosexuality? Is homosexuality an abomination? Can a gay Christian lead a successful ministry? Is it ethical to demand gays to change? Are ex-gay ministries helpful or harmful? What about reparative therapy?
