African stories were traditionally pased by word of mouth from one generation to the other. Ogwama and the Ogres is a captivating folk tale about a group of heinous ogres who dwell in the mountain caves of the Aberdare ranges. Unlike other ogres often depicted as less intelligent than humans, the Majitu, a group of ogres that dwell in the dark mountain caves, have outwitted the villagers. Ogwama, the village warrior, is presented with the challenge to make the journey to the mountain caves and destroy the curse of the Majitu.
