Its 1957 and a prominent author has been murdered in Rutledge,NY. His longtime personal secretary has been accused of the crime and Private Eye Ace Williams must prove his mysteriously acquired client innocent before Detective Sargent Harry Brock proves him guilty. Wealthy restaurant owner and political ambitionist Terrance Harte proves a nemesis to Ace and his longtime off and on assistant, Nitro. The plot evolves from Rutledge to Chicago to Miami as the international drug trade and beautiful women enter the picture.
