Medalbound

One man embarks on a journey to an island near his village, and within an inch of his life, retrieves a medal. This begins a trend of more men hunting for golden medals there to gain bragging rights, fighting against the harsh conditions and wild animals of the island with deadly results. As the death toll rises, a rather pint-sized man steps up to the plate, hoping a medal will gain him respect and equal standing with the brawnier men. His stature suggests he wouldn't last a minute on the island, but does he know something they don't?
