Patch

Lou posses the aptitude and drive of an avant-garde artist on Queen Street west. He is planning on opening his very first exhibit of sculptures made from security blankets. As opening night approaches, Lou is forced to come face to face with his past. Unfortunately for Lou, his past lives right across the street at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health. Patch is a story riddled with questions of self-identity, vanity, and the agonizing but humorous endeavour to relate to the opposite sex. Written from the perspective of a coarse but highly intelligent, neurotic, and painstakingly earnest protagonist, Patch attempts to paint a portrait of the contemporary artist as a young man.
