Tall Tales is a humorous science fiction work. With banana shaped aliens, a hairy alien octopus with a mouth on each tentacle, weird Intergalactic games and corn stealing aliens that resemble mutant kangaroos It features four teenagers and their tales of meeting aliens. Tracy who meets strange looking aliens, akin to mutant kangaroos hopping about in the farmer's field collecting sheaths of corn. As she runs for her life she is captured by the aliens who attempt to abduct her. Strange corn circles appear appear after she is strapped to the bottom of the alien ship that spins wildly out of control. Stuart whose house is attacked by banana shaped aliens. He is taken to their ship to be experimented on. They try to feed him alien maggots through his ears amongst other experiments. He is saved by a secret weapon he does not even realise he posesses. John who is abducted from a school sports day to compete in the Intergalactic Games where only the winner survives. He competes in strange events such as the baton race with sharp toothed alien sausage dogs who are intent on eating the competitiors. The marshmallow eating alien. The cloud hopping contest and more. John is in second place at the last event. How does he survive to be the Intergalactic games winner? Eddie with the new girlfriend who is the talk of the town. She is so beautiful and loving. Yet she holds a dark secret and is not who people think she is. The revelation of her true, horrific self shocks everyone at the youth club.
