Muddled: A Glimpse in the Life of Joanna Mae Key

The glimpse we see into Mae's life is after her childhood yet before she has children of her own. Mae is apart of the second generation of slaves at a fine new plantation in Georgia. She's content enough with her life with her Cherokee grandmother but after life changing events, she finds herself alone and running for her new freedom when she meets Red eagle. A serious man intent on taking her back to his Creek tribe as something too close to slave for Mae's comfort... though somehow the man is able to stir feelings in Mae's heart and body.
