"Johnny Silina is the son of immigrant parents from Gaeta, Italy. His family arrived in America in the mid- twenties and settled in Gloucester, Massachusetts, a small fishing town located about 25 miles north of Boston. In the beginning, it looked as if their dreams of a better life in the “land of opportunity” were within their grasp. Then the on-set of the Great Depression and technical advancements in the fishing industry would change their lives forever. Johnny was born to Mary and Marco Silina in early 1927. As a young boy it became evident that he possessed a great many talents that would one day bring him much success. Unfortunately, an endless stream of unforeseen obstacles made it very doubtful that he would ever fulfill his early promise. While still in the prime of his life, Johnny came to the realize he had Nowhere To Go.
