In Search of New Horizons: A Young Girl's Journey from Nazi Germany to America

This memoir traces Lore Wallburg McCarthy’s early years as the daughter of a famous Jewish movie star in Germany. As Hitler comes to power, she is mistreated and her father is eventually killed in Auschwitz. After surviving the war, she and her sister emigrate to begin a new life in America.
