Sandra Cullen, a Criminal Investigator, is trying to find out why her ex-husband, Stephen, passes away from sudden cardiac arrest on the ICU bed after being in a car accident, when, according to the doctorâs report, his injuries were not severe enough to kill him. At first, she suspects his current wife, Kim, but then partnering in the investigation with David McElroy, an environmental forensic scientist and former teenage sweetheart, along with help from their three cats, Kodie, Miracle and Mufassa, Sandy finds out that it is actually someone she would never have originally suspected who did the foul deed.
