The Third Voyage: A World War II Voyage of the Libertyship Albert Gallatio & Crew

This is the story of one trip of a Liberty Ship from San Francisco during WWII. It traces the shipâs voyage south to New Zealand and back north to several Pacific Islands, carrying supplies to the places where the military was assembling mountains of equipment from Americaâs factories to push the Japanese back to Japan. Sometimes funny, sometimes boring, sometimes terrifying, the trip brings the ship through a hurricane back to Mobile with a cargo of sugar from Cuba. It gives you an insiderâs glimpse at a Liberty Ship and itâs crew.
