Iâm Ray Anderson, born on March 4, 1930. My dad was out of work due to the depression of the 1929 crash. We had to lot of different jobs and also a lot of moving, when we would get the property fixed up the owner would raise the rent too high, so we had to move a lot. This is how I learned to do a lot of diferernt jobs.
I enjoyed learning all the different challenges, how to repair the houses. We finally moved to a farm, there is where I learned how to farm and repair the equipment. It was a lot of work but I enjoyed it. I got a job in garage then on to
BF Goodrich Truck shop until I retired after 26 years. I was also in the Naval reserve for 9 years during the Vietnam and Korean times and reached the rank of 2nd Class Petty Officer.
