Red Clay

Sarah didn’t know what had revived her but instinctively tried to take a deep breath and remove the obstacle that was covering her face. She twisted her torso around, and tried to straighten her legs, but was not able to as her knees were hard up against some sort of unyielding surface and her feet were pressed against something hard. Her lips had sealed shut by the drying blood and trying to scream ripped them apart. Trying to take another deep breath she started to cough uncontrollably which made her throat scream in agony.
