Stubborn Stanley is a book about a goat who gets taken from his home in the mountains. He ends up on a farm where he struggles to fit in.
He is the only one of his kind on the farm but eventually becomes comfortable there. He busies himself by collecting âTreasuresâ and sampling everyoneâs food.
As he gets older he starts craving more freedom and when he notices the hills looming in the background he remembers where he came from.
At that point all his efforts are concentrated in getting free so he can return home again.
