A Dream Come True

Barack Obama announced his victory on November 4th, 2008. For the first time in the history of America, the people elected an African-American as President. Martin Luther King’s dream has now finally come true. Obama was judged by the content of his character, rather by the color of his skin.

A good heathcare wasn’t the only thing that Obama promised you. It was about giving America a whole new shape in the 21st century. He promised to reverse this country’s great economic downturn. He also promised to provide the children with a better public education and an opportunity for better jobs in future.

Along with America’s issues, Obama also promised to bring the man to justice who was responsible for the thousands of innocent lives lost on September 11th, 2001.

As you read the book, you’ll come to know that Obama fulfilled all his promises. Even though if he is faraway from the finish line, he has still made a huge effort to do what he promised. As he said, “Democracy in a nation of 300 million people can be noisy and messy and complicated. And when you try to do big things and make big changes, it stirs passions and controversy.”
