Angels For You

“Angels For You”: a kitten arrives at Christmas time and has to adapt to his new home. Although his life is short, he brings lots of joy and laughter to his new family. At the heart of this story are our relationships with our pets and the love and comfort this adds to our lives, while helping us learn and cope with loss, grief and loneliness. The kitten learns about life outdoors and the creatures that live there. The story is intended to stimulate awareness of Nature and its beauty in today’s children, introduce them to common insects, birds, compost piles and backyard life, even in urban environments. Woven into this story about a Himalayan Snowshoe kitten are references to human experiences such as play, tragedy, sadness, loss and recovery, and the magic and mystery of life. The underlying message of this story is the importance of treating our pets and animals with kindness and to recognize and appreciate the spirit in all living things.
