Hostile Fortunes

An athlete with a troubled past, schoolteacher Alexandra Dillon is accused of shooting her wealthy fiancé. Tom Galvin is her pit-bull lawyer who has to prove that one of the most powerful bankers on Wall Street actually pulled the trigger.

As they search for evidence to exonerate her, the attorney and his client discover that the banker is a key member of a secret WASP society plotting to grab hold of the reins that control the nation’s finances. The society uses its extensive resources to insure that Alexandra and Tom do not expose its conspiracy. Even if that means eliminating them.
