Feathers in the Dust: A Hospice Doctor's Tale

David Trevelyan is waiting for the right post to come up in his career progression to becoming a consultant surgeon. Almost on a whim, he takes an interim post at St. Julian's Hospice, where he discovers a very different environment of working and caring compared to his experience in hospitals. He soon finds himself beguiled by the ethos and the characters he encounters, and amidst the pathos and humour of life there he experiences something of a spiritual awakening.

David's own personal journey opens a window onto the often misunderstood world of hospice and care for the dying, and grapples with the themes of suffering and loss, of transcending love, and human resilience.
