It's All Left Up to Time: Poems of Love and Loss

I believe you can learn a lot from poetry. Many times, it is a mood, feeling or emotion the author experiences. Sometimes, it helps to know you aren’t the only person who feels a certain way. My selections are an explanation of the highs and lows of relationships. Sometimes it makes me wonder if things will ever “get on the right track”, but I try to take an optimistic view, and thing that everything happens for a reason. That reason is usually for the better.

I can imagine, but I can’t predetermine how life will turn out; no human can know exactly what will happen. We estimate, but we can’t know for certain. We waste our time worrying over things that we can’t change, because we don’t have control over those things. The things we have control over, we don’t usually try to change. Many times, we have a hard time accepting what has happened in our lives. I know I do and I have to tell myself, “Don’t argue with a stop sign. You can’t beat it. Some things just are what they are.” If I make a mistake, I feel that I can learn from that mistake.
