Poems for Mother

My mother asked me one year when I went home for my sister’s wedding and on one of my rare travels back home to visit my family exactly what was I studying at university. I honestly was speechless. I am a writer, not an orator. I have sifted through my works of my past thirty years and have chosen a special collection of poetry from a journey I was experiencing. Most of them are recent, from poetry classes at Concordia University in Montreal, but I have also included a few gems that I managed to pull out of my shoeboxes.
