Cari took charge early to escape a dreary future with her needy widowed mother. From Uni to a successful job in male dominated Management Consultancy - she had climbed the ladder. She knew what she wanted and she rarely found anyone or anything to stand in her way. All the boxes were checked - private schools, skiing holidays and the compulsory Aga. Now through a chance meeting she finds herself on a treadmill of someone else's whim. Jeff is here again and he knows things - things she must hide or the whole edifice will come crumbling down. She is on her own again and running out of time and money.
