Too Scared of Tomorrow: A Clinical Approach to Understanding Fear

Eleven men who were abandoned and grew up in fatherless families offered detailed, first-person accounts of their experiences, thoughts, and feelings about abandonment as a result of fatherlessness. Analysis of their stories produced themes that provide a deeper understanding of the true nature, or “essences,” of the phenomenon of fatherlessness.
