Towards the Dawn

This is a collection of nine poems. "Towards the Dawn", the longest of them, narrates the story of Mary Magdalene, a sinner mentioned in the Bible. She is led to introspect on hearing about the teachings and deeds of Jesus Christ. She finally transforms into a penitent sinner. The painful realisation of the dilemmas of life does not give way to bitterness and pessimism. Life has to triumph over the dark urges and love alone can sustain life. This theme is developed in the poem " In the Temple". All the poems in this collection display a good deal of maturity and readability.
