At risk are reputations, colossal amounts of money, possible international repercussions and embarrassment for everyone who become involved. If the plan has its hoped for result there will be no profit, no accolades as it must always remain a secret. Yet they forge ahead because they are terrified of the spectre of a world heading to its own destuction.
