Like many, Lex McKilliam was a woman in search of a job. The one that came looking for her was like nothing she’d expected, however. Suddenly thrust into a world where everyone can do something a little beyond the ordinary, Lex makes new friends and works hard to improve her skills. The mystery behind the agency that recruited Lex and her new friends and the strange medical procedures they insist on begin to intrude on their lives further, until a surprise revelation lays bare the depth of the trap Lex and her friends have fallen into.
