Family Secrets

This Sista-girl friendly novel briefly takes readers back to the small town of Oakridge in the 1970’s where a young African American attorney, Thomas Miner, is murdered to conceal a will that names an illegitimate black child as heir to a family’s massive fortune. The fast pace moves the story along. Carefully introduced subplots add different textures as do lively supporting characters to this realistic plot about guilt, greed, lies, and what happens when secrets are divulged.
