Attorney Anne Ross has just landed the case of her career. Nick Anderson, a former college sweetheart, stands accused of mail fraud, conspiracy, and corruption of congressmen on Capitol Hill. If Anne can win this case, her career will move into overdrive. All goes according to plan — until Nick is found murdered in his home and Anne’s boyfriend, Derek Mitchell, an investment con man is arrested for Nick’s murder.
