When 17 year old Katie Richards volunteered for a week-end job at the local Trail Riding Ranch, she was not to know it would become an integral part of her life. Mike, a fellow volunteer creates chaos in her life when he appears to be a threat to her hard earned position. Her work as assistant to Tom the local Vet, fuels her dream to become a large animal Vet. But when a serious accident involving her Mother occurs, Katie is filled with guilt believing it to be her fault. Through her despair, the man who had become her best friend realises she had become more than a best friend and the story becomes one of love and hope for their dreams and future together.
