Lyric Realism: Poetry for People

Joy Boughton was born in Townsville, North Queensland, Australia in 1928 and grew up in Sydney.After graduating in Medicine from The University of Sydney,she practiced in Sydney and the United Kingdom. She lives in Sydney and is married with three sons, six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.Joy has published three previous poetry books, “This Roundabout” “The Coast and Other Poems” and “ Lyric Realism “ and has had individual poems published in various poetry magazines, anthologies and newspapers.
