Smells Like Carrot Breath

A tale about a school boy who wanders off into the playground field by himself. There he finds a hole in the ground and prods it. He discovers intelligent life in that hole. Throughout the week he struggles to retrieve his prize possession which led him to several desperate measures. Which one will work?
